Our Boats

From the thrill of planing to peaceful moments watching the sun set over Toronto's skyline, dinghy sailing in the Outer Harbour has it all.

The J-Town fleet is currently comprised of:
  • 18 Albacores
    (10 new Ovingtons)
  • 3 Nacra 500 Catamarans
  • 6 Lasers
  • 1 Byte CII

Our Clubhouse

J-Town is our cottage escape in the heart of the city! The clubhouse sits right on the shore of the Outer Harbour, with great views over the water to the unspoiled nature reserve of the Leslie Street Spit.

The clubhouse and facilities are for our members' enjoyment, both collectively and individually. Feel free laze on the deck, read a book, or snuggle close to the wood stove on a wet day. Bring along food for a gourmet barbecue, or join in a meal prepared most nights after classes or social sailing.

The Social Side

Lessons and Social Sailing

Most new members take a Learn to Sail course and lessons are a social event on their own. After each class, dinner is prepared by class members. Enjoy a meal and get to know new friends.

Social Sailing happens on Wednesday evenings. Sailors find a match of similar ability - or better! Afterwards we all have dinner and enjoy our beverages under the stars. Just sign up online so we know how many to cook for. And if you'd like to cook one of these amazing summerlicious meals, let Pat know. Weekend social sails happen often too, frequently followed by informal potlucks.

J-Town Parties and Events

The Club Crawl, J-Town Regatta, and Lobster Feast rank among our biggest events. And almost every weekend there are parties at adjoining community clubs.

We also function all winter long with various social events held at the club and, weather permitting, skating on the lake!

Casual Time on the Deck...

Perhaps the most universally engaged-in social activity at J-Town is just sitting on the deck to shoot the breeze. This can easily devour all afternoon and evening, with intermittent bouts of sailing thrown in.

J-Town is yours to enjoy - a cottage and a community.
Pitching In

At J-Town there's always something happening! You'll find people working around the club almost every day. As a volunteer-based community, we enjoy every little task we can take on to make J-Town better.

E-mail Social Director Pat at social@sailtoronto.com if you are looking to chip in!
