Obtain a Learner’s Temporary Permit and complete the written and practical tests to obtain a Powered Vessel Operator's Permit in a morning at St. James Town.

Recreational boaters operating a powered vessel within the Port and Harbour of Toronto must be in possession of BOTH a Powered Vessel Operator’s permit and a Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC).

St. James town will be hosting a Toronto Port Authority - Harbour Power Vessel Permit course on Sunday November 1, 2015 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.  A course fee of $50 will cover both the permit and Instructor fees.  The Toronto Port Authority Instructor, Simon, will provide all information necessary to pass a simple Harbour Master’s 20 questions multiple-choice test. A Temporary Permit will be issued on site followed by a practical on-water test. The instructor will handle all the paperwork with the Harbour Authority necessary for a Power Vessel Permit.

All attendees should already have a Pleasure Craft Operator Card issued by Transport Canada for all Canadian waterways. You can find additional information about the Card on Transport Canada’s website . The class will start at 9:00 a.m. sharp!
