Learn Laser Basics – rigging, sailing, boat safety, and skills building

Date, Times and Curriculum:
Thursday, June 19 (6-9 pm) – On-land Orientation - Terminology, rigging, launching, and getting on and off the boat, derigging, and boat and sail storage.
Saturday, June 21 (9 am – 3 pm) - Sailing Basics on the Water – Rigging, launching, and getting on and off the boat (repetition of Thursday’s lessons). Leaving the dock, basic controls, sensitivity to helm, tacking and gybing, capsizing, sailing to marks, approaching the dock and docking, and both derigging and storage.
Sunday, June 22 (9 am – 12 pm) - Skills Building – Practice and build upon Saturdays lessons with structured on-water set course sailing – racing (optional).
