    Summary: You may only crew the catamaran if you have a qualified helm on board for this event. Special restrictions apply. Be prepared to switch fleets if necessary.

    Catamaran Helms for this event must be a Cat 2, or Cat 1 Helms must have a Cat 2 supervising aboard a safety boat that is dedicated to your boat. Strict wind limits apply, which may be lower depending on the qualifications of your crew.

  • Sailors should be reasonably comfortable in challenging conditions within the outer harbour, before choosing to helm solo on a flotilla. Laser Helms are strongly encouraged to ensure that they have reliable communication and safety equipment on board (e.g. whistle, waterproof cellphone, VHF radio, water, snacks, mirror, light).

The briefing for this Flotilla will take place at 9:30 am. Please have a boat rigged and moored to the dock by that time.
