You can trade positions on the water if it's safe to do so. However, sailors take note that sailing on the lake, through the channels and within the inner harbour all carry new challenges not faced in the outer harbour.

Laser Helm
Sailors should be reasonably comfortable in challenging conditions within the outer harbour, before choosing to helm solo on a flotilla. Laser Helms are strongly encouraged to ensure that they have reliable communication and safety equipment on board (e.g. whistle, waterproof cellphone, VHF radio, water, snacks, mirror, light).
